Star Wars Geek Chic Japanese Towels

Tenugui star warsI am a little bit of a geek at heart as you know – and a fan of lots of things Japanese.  So I was delighted to discover these traditional Strapya World : Star Wars TENUGUI Towels.

Each Tenugui is made with authentic and traditional dyeing method called NASEN. Normally the cloths are used for all manner of things from dish cloths to ninja headbands – and usually are printed in muted blues.  But this mixture of  Star Wars characters and the unique and very Japanese-like design make these towels worthy of any Jedi!

Plus they are only US$15 (£10) to ship to UK

My favourite?  Darth Vadar looking contemplatively into a lake.. or perhaps C3PO and R2D2 under a traditional pink cherry blossom.

It’s beginning to look like a nostalgic Christmas

Sorry… I know it is only barely October, but we have just had all our new Nostalgic Poem teatowels and cards into stock and we think they look rather splendid, so thought we would let you bloggers know early!
The poem is written by Jacqui (as are all the others) and is based on her childhood memories of a 70′s Christmas complete with all the family madness and traditions.  It seems to bring a smile to peoples faces, which as you know if what we like to do at Pearl and Earl. Our motto is afterall to fill life with fond memories!
Available to buy online in a Teatowel, Mug or Card

THE POEM:

gaudy baubles, fairy lights and lots of holly wreaths,… amaryllis, mistletoe and snogging underneath,… crackers, snowballs, advocat and  grandma in a tizz,… mum always in the kitchen cooking, she really is a whizz,… pine needles getting everywhere, the hoover just packed in,… bowls of stale dates, a bag of nuts and a big quality street tin,…  turkey with all the trimmings, and of course our yearly dose of sprouts,… dad says that they make him fart, and complains about his gout,… bond films, people dying on a soap and don’t forget the Queen,.. morecombe and wise season special with an appearance from barry sheen,… smells of cinnamon from the mulled wine remind us of the past,… but please don’t cringe, remind yourself Christmas really is a laugh…x

Remember When

Remember when you were a child of the 70?  Space Hoppers and Choppers ruled, cars didn’t have seat belts, babys were driven in travel cots, we ate Space Dust and no one knew what organic meant – they just had an allotment.  We often debate how we survived??   If you were a child of the 70′s or 80′s you might appreciate my nostalgic ditty teatowel or mug …  or even buy that Space Hopper you always yearned for…x

Sugar Sugar

Our new Sugar and Spice range has been a popular new addition to our nostalgic sayings. We love it all the more as the badge reminded me of my first ever single… Sugar Sugar back in the 70′s (was it really that long ago?)

Your wish is our command…

We have so many fans of our block icon collection… but we have been inundated in the last few months, with requests to add in a VW bay window camper and VW Beetle into our mix. Well your wish is our command, and we can finally introduce our range of POP TOP and BEETLE BUG to you… welcome!
