Star Wars Geek Chic Japanese Towels

I am a little bit of a geek at heart as you know – and a fan of lots of things Japanese. So I was delighted to discover these traditional Strapya World : Star Wars TENUGUI Towels.

Each Tenugui is made with authentic and traditional dyeing method called NASEN. Normally the cloths are used for all manner of things from dish cloths to ninja headbands – and usually are printed in muted blues. But this mixture of Star Wars characters and the unique and very Japanese-like design make these towels worthy of any Jedi!

Plus they are only US$15 (£10) to ship to UK

My favourite? Darth Vadar looking contemplatively into a lake.. or perhaps C3PO and R2D2 under a traditional pink cherry blossom.

Sleepy Crochet Hearts

As our new Granny Knits crochet classes are coming up in the next couple of weeks, so I have been practising a few new patterns and techniques, ready to pass onto my lovely customers in the classes.

This weekend I have been playing with a few quick projects using Double Crochet and Triple Crochet stitches – and these little gems are one of them.. a SLEEPY HEARTS EYE MASK

They will make the cutest Christmas present and my daughter is crazy for them.

Feeling loved up and crafty for Valentines

My Aunty Ann has just finished our Heart Rainbow tapestry from Granny Knits and I was busy this morning sewing it up into a cushion before it was whisked away for a shoot for Valentines Day press.
Thank you to Mum and her team who are whipping up all the new designs as we speak..

We also launched our range to press on PRESS LOFT yesterday and had a fantastic first day for Granny Knits securing no less than 8 articles, which is amazing!
The kits seem a popular choice for Valentines and we are already getting requests for Mothers Day (yes some people are far more organised than me!)

We have just discovered this great idea in Sussex of course.. recycled caravans made into gorgeous Farrow and Ball decorated huts for hire.
